The Mulberry Bush School, a non-maintained residential special school working with vulnerable and emotionally troubled primary aged children, has developed an outstanding reputation for meeting the specific needs of each child in our care.

Consistently assessed as outstanding by Ofsted, we now have an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant – a role which will combine plenty of variety and new challenges with the security of being part of a highly professional, understanding team.

Working under the direction of a class teacher, you will provide a broad range of support to the children, both individually and in groups, as well as assist with the preparation of teaching resources. Ideally, you will have some experience of working with children although of greater importance are the personal qualities of resilience and creativity as well as the ability to think and adapt quickly to new situations

The starting salary and generous holiday entitlement is further enhanced by an attractive benefits package including pension scheme. In addition, we offer a supportive working environment which offers comprehensive, relevant training and the opportunity to undertake our Level 5 Foundation Degree in Therapeutic work with Children and Young People (accredited by the University of the West of England).
