Here at Peak we are currently recruiting for resilient and driven Teaching Assistant to join our team of highly qualified teachers, based in our school in Stoke on Trent. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for both aspiring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.

Overview of the role of Teaching Assistant:

· Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities.

· Assisting with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management and emotional health assessment tools.

· Daily reports on learners’ progress and barriers to learning.

· Work collaboratively with members of SLT and Student Support & Intervention Mentor to support students and their parents.

· Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis.

We would love to hear from people who:

· Are Passionate champions of students with SEND

· Have at least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment

· Have strong English and Maths skills

· Would like the opportunity to support students outside of a mainstream environment

· Would like the opportunity to progress within the school and obtain career focused professional qualifications

· Actively contribute to school safeguarding and welfare procedures

As well as supporting our students to excel in basic academic lessons, we also offer an array of social enrichment learning through both creative and practical approaches such as cookery, art and music.
