Our small and friendly team at our Kenley Campus are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team on a term time, permanent basis working Mon-Fri. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to provide support for a range of students across KS3 to KS5 with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

• To work with teachers to plan for the learning, educational progress and inclusion of pupil(s) with an EHCP

• To provide in class support and small group interventions to SEND students under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator

• Organise and manage all necessary resources and an appropriate learning environment

• To act as a Key Worker for identified pupils, regularly liaising with parents and staff to ensure progress against Learning Plan targets

• To work closely with allocated pupils, understanding how to motivate and encourage them to achieve and progress through the development of their Attributes, Skills and Knowledge 

• To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently and be concerned for their development as learners, supporting them and responding to their individual needs

• Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies

• To be familiar with the school curriculum, the age-related expectations of pupils and main teaching methods for age ranges in which you are involved
