Welcome!
St. Stephen’s is a voluntary aided school within a Christian foundation, supported by the churches of St. Stephen’s South Godstone, St. Nicholas Godstone and St. John’s Blindley Heath.
Our school is special because we believe that all children should have the very best of experiences during their time here alongside a rigorous grounding in the key skills of Literacy, and Numeracy.
We are fortunate to have one of two primary resource bases for the visually impaired in Surrey and this we believe enhances the experiences of all children as they grow up in a society where everyone is different.
We encourage and expect all children regardless of gender, race, socio-economic background, disability or special educational need, to benefit from what the school has to offer. We are constantly striving to make the curriculum practical, creative and accessible for all children in order that they can fulfil their potential, and we maximise the use of the school environment both inside and out.
Partnership in Learning is at the heart of our school.
Our major strength is the committed team of professionals and volunteers who serve our school. We have a welcoming and supportive ethos which is characteristic of everything that we do. Our staff and Governors work in partnership with parents and carers in order to achieve the very best for the children.
High standards of teaching are essential for a school to succeed and we are committed to achieving the highest possible standards for all children. We plan carefully for support, intervention and extension, so that all children reach their potential.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
