Job overview

(0.5) Part-time

We are seeking to appoint a compassionate and inspirational Part-time Teaching Assistant, from September 2025, to join our thriving inaugural Pre-Prep team. Cranleigh Pre-Prep will be open to children in Years 1 and 2 in September 2025 and Early Years classes will follow in 2026. It is an exciting chapter in the recent history of the school.

The outstanding candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support children both within the classroom and alongside specialist teachers in the foundation year of our new Pre-Prep. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, preparing resources, supporting individual and small group learning, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children.

This role is part-time, term-time, working 5 mornings a week.

Applications are particularly welcome from those who have experience of working with phonics schemes (such as Read, Write, Inctm) and within an outdoor setting, such as Forest School.

An ability to work as part of a team, be adaptable and flexible in approach, as well as on your own initiative is essential - as is a sense of humour!

The postholder will be line managed by the Head of Lower School.

We offer a supportive community environment with a competitive renumeration and benefits package.
