To start September 2018
The College offers a two year programme where graduates are able to train as teachers in a post 16 setting whilst working as a teaching assistant. Successful candidates will work as teaching assistants within their specialist area and will be offered teaching practice and training by the College to enable them to achieve their teaching certificate.

In certain areas, the College can offer paid posts on £14,199 - £15,064 per annum pro rata. This is a term time only post for up to 33 hours a week over 38 weeks per year. Teaching practice and associated training is in addition to these hours, making the total time commitment up to 35 hours a week.
We welcome applications for all areas for consideration but are particularly interested in Science, Sport, English, Business and Health and Social Care.
As the DET is an HE course, fees are payable for this programme however, a HE loan may be available to cover this.
This will be discussed with successful applicants at interview.
Candidates must have a good degree in their specialist area and a real interest in working with 16-19 students.
Closing date: 20th May 2018
