Job Description 

Are you positive and do you have lots of energy? Are you passionate about working with children and want to work as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment?  

We are seeking to appoint a committed, experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team who will have a positive impact on children’s learning.  The successful candidate will principally be working within the key stage 1 department supporting the teacher but shall also be prepared to work across the school. The candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and commitment, have experience (a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be of advantage) of working in a primary school and needs to be able to work with groups or individual children undertaking intervention programmes. The role will also include supervision and mentoring of children at lunchtimes working together with dedicated lunchtime staff. 

Experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage.  

The post is for 5 days a week 8:45 am – 3:15 pm, term time only. Salary in accordance with Kent Pay Scheme Grade KS3.  Application closing date: 24th November     Interviews: Week starting 27th November.

Information about the school Our school is currently a two form entry primary school in a semi urban area of Tunbridge Wells and Southborough.  At present there are approximately 450 children on roll. 

The school serves the community of High Brooms and neighbouring Southborough. The school enjoys excellent facilities with supportive staff and fantastic pupils. The school is an active member of the Tunbridge Wells Cluster, which seeks to raise standards of teachers and pupils by developing learning styles and teaching styles.   

We are a happy and lively school and we place the children at the heart of everything that we do. They benefit from many opportunities and take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and at the end of the school day.  Our recent Ofsted in July 2014 was graded good overall.
