Job overview

We are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work under the guidance of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching times.

With a recent good OFSTED, where the SEN provision was described as a significant strength and having just moved into a new building, this is an ideal time to join Buxton School.

GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) is a minimum requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not necessary; however, any training in SEN would be preferable. A desire to work with young people is essential. Regular training and professional development is available for the successful candidate.
