Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of teaching staff and undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching times. Candidates who are experienced in working with 1:1 and class-based are encouraged to apply.
With a Good OFSTED where the SEN provision was described as a significant strength and our new building, this is an ideal time to join Buxton School.
GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) is a minimum requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not necessary; however, any training in SEN would be preferable. A desire to work with young people is essential. Regular training and professional development are available for the successful candidate and we pride ourselves on the training that we can offer.
