Teaching Assistants 

Term time only (plus 5 days during school holidays), 30 hours per week, commencing as soon as possible.

Scale 3, point 14 – 17  £18,657 - £19,623 per annum (£13,597 – £14,301 pro-rata)   

Heathcote School has a new Headteacher and a new vision.  The school is on a rapid journey of improvement ensuring the ‘good’ status (Ofsted 2014) is built on and for the school to become ‘outstanding’ in all areas.    

The School Improvement Plan (2017 – 2020) focuses on four key areas:

• Giving all pupils equal opportunities to make maximum progress.    

We are currently seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our SEND team, supporting our class teachers and working with individuals and groups of students to ensure all pupils have opportunities to make maximum progress.  The School has a strong SEND provision and a resourced provision for Hearing Impaired children.        

Successful candidates will have a minimum GCSE A*- C in English and Mathematics (or equivalent), and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Secondary School experience working with pupils with a variety of needs and a solution-focused, can-do attitude is essential.
