Hawes Down Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant with phonics experience to support across the school, initially in KS1 classes, to carry out interventions and to work with individual/groups of children. You will work closely and under the supervision of the class teacher and SENCO and you will be expected to fulfil programmes as advised by other professionals. An ability to work as part of a team with our friendly and supportive staff as well as being able to work independently and using your own initiative is essential. Experience and knowledge of working with an individual child is also essential.

 

The appointed candidate will have a positive outlook, must relate well to adults, work as part of a team and use their own initiative when appropriate. Interview questions will relate to this.
