Harris Academy Tottenham is a new Academy with a Specialism in Mathematics and Enterprise. This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of an excellent team who will develop and provide outstanding teaching and learning and exceptional outcomes for students from 3-18 years of age.

We are looking for an inspiring and talented teaching assistant to work closely with the class teachers at Harris Academy Tottenham. You will be enthusiastic, have great interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team and want the very best for our students. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional looking to start, or continue their career in a rewarding new role.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with children with ASD, behavioural difficulties or ADHD;
  • A passion supporting children with SEN;
  • A successful Teaching Assistant who is able to raise and sustain high standards;
  • An innovative and creative practitioner with a drive and passion to ensure all students achieve;
  • Enthusiasm for working with a range of students with differing needs and abilities;
  • Initiative and a keenness to be involved in all aspects of the Academy life;
  • The ability to work with teachers and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to teaching and learning for children with SEN;
  • A proven track record supporting children with SEN to make good progress;
  • A Teaching Assistant who is able to enthuse and inspire students;
  • Knowledge of early language and development play;
  • Confidence in behaviour management;
  • Ideally, experience of working in EYFS, and an understanding of P-levels;
  • A proven track record of good working relationships and professionalism;
  • Confidence in working independently with small groups of students.

About Harris Academy Tottenham

Harris Academy Tottenham opened in September 2014. As an all-through school, it began with a Reception in its Primary phase and a Year 7 in its Secondary phase. These phases are growing by a year group each September until it reaches full capacity and it will also have a Sixth Form.
