Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role?

The School

A lovely, small ASD school in Kensington and Chelsea, are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support across KS1 & KS2. If you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about supporting children with SEN, this may be the perfect role for you! 

You will be working alongside a supportive and experienced team in small classes. The school promote a positive and nurturing environment for children on the Autistic Spectrum. 

Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a pupil centred, multi professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence. 

All pupils are part of a class group of maximum 6 pupils and 6 ABA tutors with a teacher/ABA supervisor as a lead. They receive 1:1 individualised support as well as regular opportunities for group teaching, social play and generalisation throughout the day.

The role would include:

• Supporting pupils throughout the school day

• Assisting the pupil with the work set out by the teacher

• Behaviour/learning support

• Holding 1:1 or small group sessions

• Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom

• Maintaining high levels of health and safety with the pupils

• Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class

To apply, you must have:

• A strong desire to work with children with ASD or additional needs

• Experience working in a school or education setting

• A good understanding of Safeguarding

• Degree educated (or equivalent) desirable

• DBS on the Update service (we can help with this) 

• Living in South West London

• Available to start from 1st  November on a full-time basis
