About the role 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well led, collaborative and supportive team. We are seeking to appoint exceptional people who are perhaps looking to begin a career in teaching and require experience of working in a school. There will be an opportunity to further develop your skills through working with SEND students in a variety of subjects. The role will require you to support students in lessons and facilitate some small group work. 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working with children or in a school
  • Appropriately qualified, experienced and enthusiastic
  • Is confident in working across the key stages to join our highly motivated and professional team
  • A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupil
  • Enthusiasm and creativity for engaging pupils.
  • Will relate positively to all learners
  • Is extremely reliable, enthusiastic and flexible 
  • Has good verbal communication skills. 
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to teamwork

Experience of working with children in a similar role would be desirable. The successful candidate will support in providing high quality and effective safeguarding and SEND support across the school, maintaining accurate and timely records and working with staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support pupils and their families.

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
