Teaching Assistants - General and One-to-One positions available

Required as soon as possible – Teaching Assistants

These are full-time roles – up to 32.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, core school hours (between 8am and 4pm)

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4 – 6, Points 3-12 (Level 1 -3 Teaching Assistant)

£20,812 – £24,496 FTE per year; £15,327- £18,040 (Actual Salary per year)

We have exciting and rewarding opportunities working as part of our Teaching Assistant team at Trumpington Park Primary School - we currently have posts available for general and one-to-one Teaching Assistants. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team working in the classroom, leading small group interventions or as one-to-one support with children who have EHCPs in place.  These are varied and fulfilling roles where you will be making a difference to a child’s learning and their progress. Part of your duties will also include some preparation of teaching resources/classroom displays and will also include midday supervision during the children’s lunchbreak.

The ideal candidate:

• Grade 5/C or above in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent)  
• Practical experience of working with children and young people
•  Is able to form good relationships with children and work in partnerships with parents, colleagues and other professionals
•  Is able to provide focused one-to-one support
•  Is an excellent communicator and can work well in a team
• Willingness to undertake training e.g. first aid training
• An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
