Job overview
Burlington House School is looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join our Sixth Form team.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and our Therapy team to support students with SEND in accessing learning, developing independence and making progress across the curriculum.
The role will include providing classroom and small-group support, helping students remain engaged and regulated, supporting behaviour and sensory needs, and delivering targeted interventions. You will build positive relationships with students and help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with children or young people, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting. You will be calm, proactive and organised, with good communication and teamwork skills and a genuine commitment to helping young people develop their confidence, resilience and independence.
Experience of supporting pupils with needs such as SLPD, ASC or ADHD is particularly valuable. Knowledge of sensory regulation strategies, experience delivering interventions, BDA Level 3 training, or an interest in Media and Creative Arts would also be an advantage.

Focussing on pupil personal development Burlington House School is at the forefront of bespoke education for not only SpLD but also any child who struggles in a traditional classroom.
