Job overview

About Us: Wembley Multi Academy Trust (WMAT) is a dynamic educational organisation committed to providing exceptional learning experiences for students across our community. As part of our dedication to excellence, we are proud to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Head of Partnerships and Strategy within our Teaching School Hub.

Role Overview: As the Head of Partnerships and Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the North West London Teaching School Hub (NWLTSH), ensuring alignment with the values and vision of WMAT. Your responsibilities will include developing robust communication strategies, fostering stakeholder engagement, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance teacher recruitment, retention, and development within the hub area.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Communication: Develop and implement an effective communication strategy to articulate the vision, values, and impact of NWLTSH, aligning with WMAT's ethos. Utilize various channels, including social media, to promote the hub as a primary resource for teacher recruitment, retention, and development.

·        Leadership: Provide strategic leadership within NWLTSH, driving the development and execution of annual and long-term plans with a focus on improving student outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues to lead and oversee programs that advance the hub's objectives.

·        Policy: Stay abreast of emerging educational policies and trends, bridging the gap between local needs and national policy initiatives. Contribute insights to inform the development of hub strategies, ensuring adaptability and future-proofing of the Teaching School Hub.

·        Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong partnerships with curriculum and specialist networks across the hub area, facilitating school engagement and collaboration. Collaborate with education leaders to develop recruitment strategies and establish mechanisms for gathering and integrating school feedback.

·        Golden Thread: Coordinate Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Early Career Framework (ECF), and National Professional Qualification (NPQ) provisions across the hub area in collaboration with partners. Manage ITT recruitment efforts to meet teacher supply targets and ensure the satisfaction of partner schools.

·        Operations: Establish and maintain robust mechanisms to uphold the highest standards of ITT, ECF, NPQ, Appropriate Body (AB), and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offerings. Lead strategic projects in a flexible and agile manner to drive excellence and support the hub's objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

·        Proven experience in a leadership role within the education sector, preferably within a teaching school or similar setting.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

·        Strong strategic planning and project management abilities, with a track record of driving impactful initiatives.

·        In-depth knowledge of educational policies and trends, with the capacity to translate national frameworks into actionable strategies.

·        A commitment to promoting excellence in teaching and learning, with a focus on improving student outcomes.

·        Relevant qualifications in education, leadership, or related fields are desirable.
