Teaching School Internship 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at KEHS and develop our work with the local community. In particular you will be playing a key role in our outreach work with local primary schools.

The person appointed to the Teaching School internship will play a key role in ensuring that the Teaching School has an effective administrative system. This will involve keeping all financial records and written documentation up to date, including preparing the agenda and minutes for all Teaching School Board meetings You will be liaising with head teachers from our partner schools as well as meeting with possible entrants to the profession arranging teacher taster days and subject placement days. We also operate leadership placements and you will play a key organisational role in this important aspect of our work. In many respects the teaching school administrator will be the first point of contact for schools and teachers who wish to work with us. 

The post commences 1st September 2017 and ends on 16th July 2018. It is a full time, term time only post, with a competitive salary.

King Edward VI High School for Girls (KEHS) is one of the most successful girls’ schools in this country with outstanding academic results and a large programme of extra-curricular activity.  The school is an independent day school with over 600 girls aged 11-18 and is part of the King Edward VI Foundation, which has eight schools in Birmingham. It is situated on a beautiful 50 acre campus in Edgbaston, which it shares with King Edward’s School.  It is only three miles from Birmingham city centre and has excellent transport access by road and rail (the University train station is only a 10 minute walk).
