The St John Paul II Multi Academy is a growing multi academy currently across 6 sites in North Birmingham; our Directors are seeking to appoint a Teaching School Manager to work within our successful and expanding multi academy.

Reporting to the Teaching School lead, Mr Matthew Emery – Principal of St. Nicholas School.

This is a new permanent post for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. However, the hours are flexible by negotiation.

The Teaching School Manager will play a strategic role in leading, developing and overseeing the St Nicholas Teaching School which is part of the St. John Paul II Multi-Academy.

The role is an exciting opportunity to be part of something special, developing and supporting a wide range of schools and playing a significant role in influencing the outcomes of children.

Aims of the role

• To plan, deliver and evaluate the impact of the Teaching School aims and objectives.

• To work with the St John Paul II Multi Academy Central Team to successfully recruit high quality trainee teachers and to support the coordination and delivery of

ITT.

• Coordinate the delivery a high quality programme of CPD.

• Enable system leaders to impact on school improvement across the alliance and beyond.

• Coordinate high quality leadership development and talent management opportunity across the alliance.

• Enable engagement in research activity, and create mechanisms to share learning.

• Coordinate and facilitate a process of school led, peer to peer challenge and support.

• Achieve financial sustainability of the teaching school.

The post holder must be able to demonstrate their suitability for working with children and have the ability to converse with/advise staff and members of the public at ease in accurate spoken English and must hold a full driving licence.
