  • Managing learners’ behaviour by establishing and maintaining a clear framework for discipline in line with the school’s Behaviour for Learning policy
  • Undertaking pastoral responsibilities and duties as required
  • Being accountable for the progress of students within classes taught against agreed targets

To be successful, you will have qualified teacher status and a degree preferably in maths or a related subject.

Richard Clutterbuck

Values and vision

King’s Oak Academy has three core values: trust, respect and inspire. The secondary school aims to work with parents, carers and the wider community to help its young people be ambitious for themselves, confident and responsible, as well as creative in nurturing their own individuality. The academy’s mission statement is: “Where students achieve excellent outcomes in a caring and stimulating learning community.”

Ofsted report

“In outstanding lessons students were fully engrossed in their learning. Teachers set tasks that were exactly what students needed, thoroughly checked that they were understanding and could apply their learning to the task in hand. Students were liberated and not constrained by the learning objectives. Teachers gave time in these lessons for students to analyse what they were doing, reflect and strengthen their learning.”
