Job overview

We're seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Theatre Manager to join our vibrant school, supporting a diverse programme of student productions and performances. You'll play a key role in managing all technical aspects of our theatre in the Millenium Centre – from lighting and sound to staging and maintenance – ensuring smooth, safe, and professional experiences for our students and staff.

In addition to supporting the school’s busy calendar of events, you'll oversee external companies that hire the Theatre during the school holidays, helping to maintain high standards and maximise the theatre’s use as a creative hub for the wider community.

If you’re organised, hands-on, and passionate about theatre production in an educational and commercial setting, we’d love to hear from you.

All staff receive free lunches and refreshments.

The Woldingham community is a rich one in which many different backgrounds and cultures are represented and many different languages spoken. This diversity is valued and respected and we are keen to welcome applications from all applicants that feel that they meet the requirements of the role, regardless of their background and culture. All job applicants will be considered solely on their ability to do the job.

Close to London, yet in an outstandingly beautiful rural setting, Woldingham is a happy and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. With a strong community and caring culture, we are building on a proud heritage that stretches back over 180 years. We’re now driving an exciting future that’s underpinned by fresh ideas, an innovative spirit and state-of-the-art facilities.

Once completed, return your application and cover letter to hr@woldinghamschool.co.ukThis campaign will close at 9am on Monday 23rd June 2025. Interview will be held on Tuesday 1st July 2025.

We encourage early applications, and as such reserve the right to close the role early should a suitable candidate be appointed.

Please note that due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each applicant individually. If you have not heard from us by Monday 30th June 2025, you can assume that you have been unsuccessful with your application.

Woldingham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS report will be required for the successful candidate.
