This role is for 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.  

Major Tasks:  

1. Prepare materials and equipment for Art & design courses use and ensure that equipment and materials are set up in relevant studios for set lessons.  

2. Provide technical assistance to staff and students, both in and out of lessons.  

3. Controls and monitors stock. Makes and maintains workshop/studio areas, equipment and resources. 

4. Contributes in the preparation of teaching schemes of work in order to plan technical support, equipment and materials on a termly basis. 

5. Ensures all equipment and materials are stored safely after use. 

6. Maintains and reinforces Health & Safety and safe working practices in all studios.  

It is essential that you hold a minimum of Level 3 in a recognised Art and Design qualification (in particular textiles and fashion) together with minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.  It is also essential that you have experience of working in an Art & Design studio/environment or educational establishment.

The successful candidate is required to meet the payment of this DBS check which is currently £44.
