Please note this post is temporary for 12 months.

The post is full time 12 month secondment cover Monday – Friday, 35 Hrs per week.

The shift pattern will be 08.15 – 16.00 with 45 minutes for lunch.

The successful candidate will be based in Turnbull High School but may be required to work in any East Dunbartonshire Council secondary school.

Working as part of the technician team within the school, the duties include providing an effective technician support service for technical education practical classes; preparing and setting up materials, technical aids and equipment in the classroom; using IT equipment; ensuring health and safety legislation is adhered to and be able to provide an effective technician support service throughout the school within the flexible working arrangements.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of an NC or equivalent or City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in a relevant technical related subject. They will have practical skills gained through education or work and good organisational and time management skills while working to tight deadlines. They will be able to work on their own initiative but be an effective member of the technician team.
