We are seeking to appoint a creative, well organised individual who is able to enthuse and inspire students with their passion for teaching Technology. Resistant Materials is a popular option for our students at KS4. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people and of providing in class practical support which helps to secure high levels of attainment. A keen interest in contributing to extra-curricular activities and awareness of the latest Health and Safety regulations as regards the learning of Technology is also essential.

The successful applicant will be a strong team player committed to the Academy’s ethos of high academic expectation and aspiration for all. You will also be keen to help realise the school’s vision to “create leaders of tomorrow in every walk of life”.

Ark Evelyn Grace Academy is an 11-16 mixed secondary school, located at the heart of the London Borough of Lambeth. We are a community school and part of the Ark Network. Our mission statement is to empower our students to be the voice of their future. This is based on the belief that each young person is different, difference should be embraced, and each young person has a unique contribution to make and should be given a voice. Through finding their voice, young people can lead empowered lives where they have choice, agency and influence. We are focused on the future as we want our young people to be the face of it.

Supporting our mission is our Culture Compass which sets out the values that drive the work that we do creating a shared sense of purpose.

Through providing a nurturing environment, a high-quality education and a wide range of experiences and opportunities, we enable all our young people to have choices over the direction of their lives. We want our young people to be heard, be seen and be their best, making significant progress in school and securing high quality destinations so that they reach their full potential.

School Structure

The school has a small leadership team that comprises of the Principal, two Vice Principals and two Assistant Principals. Each subject area is lead by a Head of Department and year groups are led by a Director of Learning (Head of Year).
