We are seeking a Technology Integration Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting teachers and students by integrating technology effectively into the classroom to enhance learning outcomes at the secondary/high school level.

Position Type: This position is a 0.5 FTE Technology Integration Specialist role. The remaining 0.5 FTE will be assigned to teaching responsibilities or other professional duties, commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience, certification, and areas of expertise.

Under the direction of the Executive Principal and/or his or her designee, the Technology Integration Specialist promotes the effective use of instructional technologies to support student achievement in grades 6–12. The Technology Integration Specialist provides leadership, professional learning, and instructional support to both instructional and administrative staff.

The Technology Integration Specialist designs, develops, and delivers instructional technology professional learning for teachers and administrative staff. The position also supports the development and implementation of curriculum initiatives and technology integration projects aligned with instructional goals.

The Technology Integration Specialist provides instructional staff with the support necessary to effectively use technology-based instructional, management, and productivity tools. In collaboration with instructional and technical staff, the Specialist supports, manages, and optimizes the use of instructional software and networked resources to enhance teaching and learning. Responsibilities include collaborating with teaching staff to implement technology tools, providing training and support on educational technologies, troubleshooting technical issues related to instructional technology, and helping develop innovative strategies that align with curriculum goals.

This position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in educational technology or related roles

  • Strong knowledge of Common Core standards and AP Curriculum, and how technology can support these frameworks

  • Proficiency with various educational software, hardware, and digital platforms, especially Google Workspace.

  • Excellent communication skills for training staff and collaborating across departments

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical problems independently

    Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with teachers in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons and supports the teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms.

  • Oversees Student Management Software (PowerSchool) from the Academic perspective and works with the IT Team to coordinate management and oversight. 

  • Promotes model instructional practices and the role of technology in them.

  • Articulates appropriate instructional technology practices as described in technology standards for students, and teachers.

  • Provides assistance and training to building instructional staff in the integration of technology to support student achievement. This includes planning and implementing job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small groups, and large groups. 

  • Collaborates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials and software.

  • Assists with technology training as part of collaborative school faculty and staff development initiatives.

  • Works with curriculum staff to develop and implement technology enhanced curriculum integration projects.

  • Provides leadership in developing and implementing a master technology plan for both short- and long-term. 

  • Collaborates with School Administrators, Library Media Specialists, and staff to ensure infrastructure and tools are available to carry out school and technology initiatives.

  • Conducts research about advancements in technology tools and resources to inform decision-making.

  • Participates in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintaining expertise in the field. 

  • Participates in workshops and meetings required by Academic Leadership Team 

  • Conducts staff development. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
