Rangiora High School, a large, uniquely-situated secondary school in North Canterbury is in search of a Technology teacher with an Engineering focus. Working with materials (metal & wood) and practical students in a very hands-on environment is central to this role. Desirable skills and experience:

- Have a PGCE in Design Technology (or similar);

- Proven experience in working with wood & metal to senior level;  

- Industry experience is a bonus but not essential

Rangiora is a rejuvenated town located in mid-Canterbury, only a 30-minute drive into central Christchurch. The town is on an upward trajectory with new businesses being established frequently. Christchurch city is well-established as a popular place to live but if a quainter, semi-rural lifestyle is for you - the Canterbury plains are not far away! 

You may be eligible for a $5000 overseas relocation grant (ORG) from the Ministry of Education if you take up a school teaching position in New Zealand, or a relocation support grant (RSG) $3000 if you’re an ECE teacher.  Now is a great time to come and teach in Aotearoa!
