36 hours per week (9am to 5pm)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this high achieving, popular one form entry school. Based in Battersea, John Burns has a wonderful community spirit that celebrates our diverse population.
Applications for this post are welcome from candidates with excellent IT and organisational skills. The post-holder will be based in the school’s main office and will support the day to day running of the school office. In addition, you will be responsible for keeping the school website and twitter account up to date, assist with the preparation and distribution of the school newsletter as well as organising publicity and marketing initiatives for the school. You will also welcome and organise refreshments for visitors to the school.
Very effective communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner, written communication and IT skills are a requirement of this post.
Experience in writing press releases, copy writing and website content as well as excellent written grammar and proofreading skills would be a distinct advantage.

Other skills and qualifications required for this post include:
- English GCSE grade A-C or equivalent are essential.
- Excellent written grammar
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
· Ability to work independently using own initiative
