Job overview

We wish to appoint a dynamic, passionate and inspirational individual to teach PE at this popular and successful 13–18 academy.  The post is full time and the successful applicant will be expected to teach across the whole-ability range, core and GCSE PE as well as a small proportion of Year 9 Health and Social Care and English.  Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and those who are newly qualified.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm who is able to communicate clearly, is sensitive to the needs of young adults and has the ability to use initiative and vision to encourage others.  We expect the person to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life and lead on extracurricular activities.  Our sports facilities are excellent comprising of Sports Hall, All Weather Football Pitch, Coaching Room and Squash Courts.

We would expect the successful candidate to make a positive contribution to our thriving extra-curricular activities as well as contribute to continuous improvements in student progress and attainment.

Alleyne’s is a popular 13-18 academy judged “Good” by OfSTED in April 2016.  The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching.
