27.5 hours per week (9am to 3.30pm)

Term Time Only (39 weeks) (38 weeks + 5 INSET days)

We are looking for a temporary Learning Support Assistant to provide support for an individual child with special educational needs. The child has a diagnosis of autism. You would also be required to help the class teacher with classroom organisation and administration as well as to support individual children on the playground if required.  This post is temporary (until 31st August 2020) and is also event linked which means if before this date the child you are assigned to leaves the school the post will cease.  

 You will support children’s learning and development, help to plan and organise activities and the learning environment and, contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.  You will also be required to participate in training and other learning activities as necessary. 

Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable and you should have experience of working with children in a mainstream educational setting and hold a qualification in child care.  You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to helping children to do their best.   

You will be joining a hard working and friendly team and you will be provided with support, guidance and training organised by our SENCo.
