Pewsey Vale School is a small, rural 11-16 Secondary School.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a temporary, full time teacher of Art to support the strong department in this ambitious, forward thinking school.
The position will be full time until the end of February half term 2017 in the first instance.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher with a passion for Art .
- Have a commitment to achieving excellence in Art.
- Look to provide artistic experiences/opportunities outside the curriculum and promote students artwork both in school and in the wider community.
Art is well supported by students and parents alike with a record of outstanding GCSE results. Although small, the department is well equipped with a kiln, dark room and print facilities. The successful applicant will be working with the support of the technician to provide a wide and diverse curriculum. An ability to work with textiles is desirable although not essential.

Pewsey Vale School is a small mixed 11-16 comprehensive school catering for students from widely varied backgrounds in the village of Pewsey in the Pewsey Vale of Wiltshire. Pewsey Vale School is currently in the process of joining Acorn Education Trust and view this as an exciting opportunity.
The Pewsey Vale grounds are shared with a leisure centre and primary school. The village of Pewsey is known for its statue of Alfred the Great and its annual carnival. It also has convenient road and rail access to London.
