Hours – 16.25 hrs 8.45 – 12 noon 38 weeks per year
We are looking to appoint a special educational needs teaching assistant to work with a child who has communication difficulties.
The successful candidate will be:
- Is cheerful, positive and enthusiastic about working with children
- Is an effective communicator with pupils and staff
- Is competent in the use of ICT
- Must have good Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Is interested in supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties
- You should have a minimum NVQ level 2 qualification.
You will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher but also have the ability to use your own initiative to organise tasks and activities. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the class teacher on the pupil’s progress and create simple resources to support the pupil’s work as appropriate.
