TEMPORARY TEACHER OF ICT/COMPUTER SCIENCE  

REQUIRED SEPTEMBER 2018 until 31st AUGUST 2019  

An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher of ICT/Computer Science, holding Qualified Teacher Status, to join the ICT/Computer Science team at Dean Trust Wigan.  Dean Trust Wigan is part of The Dean Trust, which has a number of very high performing schools and a proven track record of sustained improvement.  The Dean Trust’s core values include traditional academic education, excellent discipline and respect, resulting in improved attainment and progress. “Believe, Achieve, Succeed” has been embraced by all of the schools in The Dean Trust.   

The Governing Body is now seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of ICT/Computer Science.  Improving progress and raising attainment in ICT/Computer Science at all levels are key challenges for the school. 

Applications are invited from successful ICT/Computer Science Teachers who can demonstrate the ability to:  

• enable pupils to achieve the highest possible standards 

• work motivationally within a team of staff 

• raise attainment in ICT/Computer Science at all levels 

• inspire students to love the subject through outstanding teaching 

• work effectively with staff, parents and the community  

The successful candidate will be required to have experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 and have an understanding of new curriculum developments for teaching ICT/Computer Science.  This post offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a vision to inspire students in a 21st century learning environment.  We are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and we expect all our staff to share this commitment.
