A leading HMC, co-educational, independent, day school in the South West of England with 770 pupils aged 11-18 years, including 220 in the Sixth Form.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic graduate to teach Mathematics in this very popular and thriving department. The post is to cover a period of maternity leave for one year. The Mathematics department is very successful, with 84% A*/A at IGCSE and 83% A*-B at A2 (100% for Further Maths) last year. Currently about half of the Sixth Form study Mathematics. King Edward's is a very successful school which achieves excellent results and was praised very highly in its recent ISI inspection. A willingness to offer support to the extra-curricular and pastoral life of the School would be an advantage. King Edward’s School operates its own salary scale, which is enhanced above the National State Qualified Teachers’ Scale. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
