The role is temporary in the first instance but is likely to be extended as curriculum requirements in this filed increase. 

This is an exceptional opportunity as we look for someone to join us at this incredibly exciting time in the school’s history.  The governors of this highly successful and oversubscribed 11-16 Voluntary Aided RC High School are seeking to appoint someone to inspire our young people to take up their stage and perform to the best of their ability. 

We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual with ambition and drive, who shares our passion for improving the lives of young people.  Joining a dynamic and forward looking Performance Arts Department you will be given the opportunity to be at the forefront of fast paced life-transforming activity.  The role is ideal for a newly trained drama teacher with a passion and flair for sharing their talent, working with young people.  The successful candidate will lead by example and create a positive culture of high standards for staff and students.

As a Catholic Christian community, we offer a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to engage with wonderfully able students. The school is developing a very successful and effective induction programme for new colleagues. 

We are very determined in our mission to transform the lives of young people and create outstanding life chances through educational achievement.  We are looking for an innovative, outstanding teacher/instructor to inspire all those who are lucky enough to have an encounter with. The ideal candidate will teach KS3 drama/music/dance and also work as a team to develop our new Performing Arts Qualification.

About St Joseph's RC High School and Sports College

St. Joseph’s is a Voluntary Aided mixed Roman Catholic High School located in Bolton and under the trusteeship of the Diocese of Salford, with approximately 890 pupils enrolled, aged 11 to 16. We are also a designated Sports College with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.  We were established in 1963 and will be celebrating our Golden Jubilee in 2013.
