Job overview

Temporary Teacher of Religious Education Temporary from the 1st January 2022 to 27th May 2022 (0.63 FTE)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Holy Cross College. As a Catholic College for the Community, we welcome staff and students of all faiths. We strive continuously to maintain and further improve our success within a friendly, supportive and caring environment through the commitment and enthusiasm of our incredibly dedicated, caring and expert staff.

Curriculum subjects at Holy Cross College are arranged into clusters and managed by a Curriculum Leader.  Unlike Curriculum subjects however, as every student in college does General R.E, this stands alone with its own Curriculum Leader.

General Religious Education forms a fundamental part of the Catholic Education Programme at Holy Cross and as such it has a high profile within the College. Every student is timetabled for one RE lesson per week at Level 2 (Progression Year), Year 1 and Year 2. Attendance at R.E. is high, meeting the college averages of all other subjects.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative teacher. The successful candidate will be required to teach General RE.

195 days per annum, pro rata to 1265 hours per annum

The salary for the post is: £25,570 to £41,732 per annum, pro rata

The Closing Date is 25th October 2021
