About Jinling High School - Hexi Campus

Jinling High School is a mixed, Methodist all-through school with sixth form situated in the Jiangsu province on the east coast of China. It is an independent day school with Chinese and English education. A larger than average school for an all-through school, Jinling educates over 3,000 students at all school stages between early years and sixth form college. It is a school that has international links for close educational partnerships and exchange programmes with countries all around the world, including the US, the UK, Russia and Australia.

The school was established in 1888 as Fowler Biblical School by a group of American missionaries from Methodist Episcopal Church, its high school starting two years later. A name change to its current name happened in 1910. After an amalgamation with Ginling College High School, it changed name once again to Nanjing No. 10 Middle School, before changing back in time for the centenary in 1988. It set up the Cambridge A Level Centre in 2008. Thanks to its Methodist roots, there is a school chapel, built in 1888 and reconstructed in 1917.
