Rugby School is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced, full-time Theatre Technician to join a thriving Performing Arts team based in Rugby’s Macready Theatre.

The Macready Theatre is a professional 250-seat receiving venue which runs a professional programme alongside Rugby School’s academic and co-curricular Performing Arts activities.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Theatre & Performing Arts Technician, with particular experience in lighting, sound and stage management to commence as soon as possible. The post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance and operation of our theatrical equipment in venues across the campus. 

Regular evening and weekend work will form an important part of the job during certain times in the school year and a flexible approach to working hours will be required. The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

This role is a full time, term time plus position working 35 weeks.
