Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a skilled Theatre Technician to provide the planning and delivery of technical support for all School drama productions, to oversee the Performing Arts Centre, as well as working with the Drama Department to assist in the teaching of the technical aspects of the drama curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have a professional technical theatre training and background, with experience of the teamwork, organisation and diplomacy necessary for the smooth running of the technical remit within a busy and varied department. They will be skilled in all aspects of technical theatre, including set and prop design, lighting design desk programming and operation and sound design/operation including sounds effects and music sourcing, editing and compiling. A relevant degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in professional technical theatre is essential.
All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s safeguarding policies.
