TASIS The American School in England has delivered a first-class day and boarding education for over 40 years. Located a short distance from central London in Thorpe, Surrey and set on a  46-acre campus TASIS England currently educates 620 students of 57 nationalities aged 3 – 18. Our vibrant and dedicated theatre department are seeking a positive, pro-active and passionate Theatre Technician to join the team and help maintain the high aspirations for our students' experience of live performance. 

The right candidate, whilst being technically accomplished, should also be diligent, student-friendly and assertive, in order to deal with the many demands placed upon them, as well as being a pragmatic and creative problem-solver, who can assist with producing a highly effective standard of production within the context of our school theatre. 

The Theatre Technician will be joining a department of professionals whose passion is to see young people thrive in the arts and grow in themselves through participation in theatre performances.  

There is the strong possibility of progression to Theatre Manager for the right candidate.

About TASIS The American School In England

First founded in 1976, TASIS The American School in England (otherwise known as TASIS England) is an independent school in the village of Thorpe, Surrey. The school provides an American-style education to its students, following an American curriculum. As a result, the majority of the school’s students are American, although there is still a significant international contingent. The school’s campus occupies 46 acres of land, close to Royal Holloway University. TASIS England has around 800 pupils on roll, with a minority of these being boarding students.

TASIS England seeks to provide a high-quality US-style education to its pupils, while keeping them active and informed about their local community. The school makes extensive use of the wide range of modern facilities available on campus in order to achieve this, with students having the option of a wide range of sports opportunities and extra-curricular activities. In terms of curriculum, older students at the school have the option of taking the International Baccalaureate, a two-year course widely recognised by a huge range of international higher-education institutions.
