Forest Bridge School is a new all-age Special Free School for children with autism which opened in September 2015, and has recently been rated “Good” by Ofsted. The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills. Forest Bridge School will help each pupil that leaves the school to progress into training, employment or further education. You will join a dedicated team of staff and help continue to establish a culture in which every pupil has the opportunity to thrive and flourish. 

We offer an exciting career opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy Team. To succeed in the role, you will need to be a confident, enthusiastic person with a passion for learning and the ability to build good working relationships with young people, teachers, parents and carers.

The role will involve supporting our therapists to deliver programs that meet our children’s individual needs.

The successful candidate will have confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning, experience with working with children with special needs, in particular children on the autism spectrum, together with good administration and computer skills as this an integral part of the role. 

The role is can either be 4 or 5 days per week, term time only.

Salary: Dependent on experience.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
