Position Summary 

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate MYP/DP Physics Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. This role is also part of a special scholarship program dedicated exclusively to nurturing students with exceptional talents in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Design Technology. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of teaching experience, a proven track record of preparing students for international competitions and Olympiads, and a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence.

General responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging, high-quality lessons in DP and MYP Physics, focusing on critical thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary connections.

  • Differentiated Instruction: Tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.

  • Scholarship Program: Contribute to the scholarship program for gifted students in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Design Technology. Identify and nurture talented students, providing them with the tools and mentorship to excel in these subjects.

  • International Competitions & Olympiads: Prepare and mentor students for participation in prestigious international math, physics, and STEM competitions and Olympiads, helping them develop the skills to succeed at the highest level.

  • Curriculum Planning: Design and implement lesson plans that align with the MYP and DP curricula, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts.

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Create and evaluate a variety of assessments to track student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning journey.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Science Department, as well as with interdisciplinary teams, to develop integrated units and foster a collaborative learning environment.

  • Extracurricular Involvement: Lead or support extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, workshops, and other events to inspire students beyond the classroom.

  • Professional Development: Actively seek out professional growth opportunities, staying current with the latest developments in math and physics education, as well as IB methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching credential) is preferred.

  • Experience:

  • 7+ years of teaching experience in MYP/DP Mathematics.

  • Proven success in preparing students for international competitions, Olympiads, and similar challenges in Mathematics, Physics, or STEM subjects.

  • Experience in leading or mentoring talented students within a scholarship program or specialized academic initiative is highly desirable.

  • IB Certification: IB training and certification in MYP/DP Physics.

  • Strong knowledge of the MYP/DP Physics curricula and assessment requirements.

  • Ability to inspire and engage students, creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

  • Experience with differentiated teaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and classroom management skills.

  • Proficiency in using digital tools and technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

  • Fluent English Language (C2).

  • Extremely talented and passionate about Physics and STEM education.

  • Enthusiastic about mentoring gifted students and preparing them for high-level competitions.

  • Collaborative, flexible, and committed to working as part of a dynamic team.

Working Days/hours: 

Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00

Recruitment process:

  1. Hiring team Panel interview (30 minutes).

  2. Trial lesson (60 minutes). 

  3. Interview with the Head of School, Principal of Secondary and Faculty Leader (30 minutes).

Our Campus

Currently we are operating in a temporary campus, opened in September 2022 which includes 3 areas: Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary School as well as outdoor sport courts, playgrounds, canteen, 2 art studios, 2 music rooms and 2 libraries.

Future Campus

Drawing inspiration from renowned educational projects worldwide and working in collaboration with one of the leading architectural bureaus, we are about to shape the future of our school. Among other features, the permanent campus will include 5 laboratories, 2 art studios, swimming pool, sports base for both indoor and outdoor activities and much more.
