Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Trainee Lecturer in Health Social Care to support both our Adult nursing and Therapy teams on a Permanent basis. Joining us as a Trainee Lecturer you should expect to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom, ensuring that our learners are inspired to succeed and progress. Full or Part time applications are welcomed for this position.

As an ECT in your area, you will integrate appropriate and inspirational curriculum resources including ILT into lessons and plan delivery so that schemes of work and lesson plans support achievement. Undertaking ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners work both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress, you must aim to ensure that learners succeed through progress reviews and initiate and respond to new curriculum developments and plan resources as appropriate.

Delivery will be focussed on the new Healthcare Technical Levels qualifications (T Levels). As well as the core qualification content, course delivery will include specialisms in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team and Supporting the Therapy Teams. In addition to T Level delivery, you may also be required to to deliver on other Health & Social Care courses, including FE, HE and Adult courses, subject to your qualifications and experience.

Applicants must hold:

  • Degree level education
  • Minimum Level 5 qualification in a relevant healthcare or professional clinical subject area.
  • Proven experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice) on relevant Health or clinical subject based courses.
  • A full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills (or be willing to/currently working towards). 
  • Experience of working in the Health & Social Care Sector is highly desirable.
