Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 21 academies; 11 secondary and 10 primaries across the North of England in eleven Local Authority regions.

The Trust are seeking either a Trainee Contracts and Procurement Manager or a fully qualified Contracts and Procurement Manager, qualified to MCIPS level, who will work with the Chief Operating and Financial Officer and Director of Finance and Procurement to devise a pragmatic procurement strategy and contract management approach across the Trust and all of its academies in line with national best practice. You will be the professional lead on all procurement and contracted aspects of the Trust operation and help put in place sustainable approaches and savings on the wide array of goods and services that the Trust purchases.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, be commercially astute and adopt a systematic approach to delivering value for money through transparent procurement in a large and complex organisation. Whilst it would be helpful if you had knowledge of this sector it would not be a barrier to any applicant as we will offer significant support and training to ensure you are as successful as possible in this role.

The Trust is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. All posts are subject to enhanced disclosure and barring service checks. We expect all adults to share our commitment to safeguarding and the health and well-being of our pupils.
