Bishop Ramsey is an over-subscribed, mixed 11-18 Academy with high academic standards and a strong tradition of pastoral care. We work conscientiously to support the academic and personal development of our students which has resulted in ‘strong relationships and positive behaviour in and around the school’ (SIAMS 2018). We have excellent facilities and a warm and welcoming culture where staff professional development and wellbeing are central to the school’s Christian ethos.

We are seeking to recruit trainee teachers through our School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme, which is a school-based route into teaching for high-quality graduates and career changers, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE qualification. Trainees will work alongside highly qualified and inspirational teachers to provide a range of teaching and learning support. Trainees will be supported throughout the training year.

Applicants must have:

  • A UK (or equivalent) subject related degree
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • The right to work in the UK
