Trainee Teacher of Philosophy and Theology
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Theology or Philosophy graduate who will seize an exciting opportunity to work at Rugby School. The successful candidate will teach from Year 9 to A Level. Rugby is renowned for its innovative approach to education; as a coaching school we are looking for staff who are committed to professional development and personal growth.
This is a two year fixed-term post. In the first year the successful candidate will teach a reduced timetable and will receive training at Rugby School. In the second year the successful candidate will continue to teach a reduced timetable while also completing a PGCE with an external teacher training provider. The School will fund and support this training.
The School is a boarding and day school in full operation seven days per week including evenings during term time. Pastoral, co-curricular, cultural and sports activities take place outside normal day-school hours. All staff are expected to make a full contribution. The salary for this post is £18 500 and accommodation is provided.
