Want to train to be a teacher?
Our Teaching School - the Sheffield Teaching School Alliance (STSA) -trains over 100 people every year in Sheffield and the Peak District for the best job in the world – being a teacher!
We have an excellent track record of supporting our trainees into their first jobs – with at least 80-100% of our trainees regularly finding a job within the first month after the course (often in local schools they have made connections with).
We work with over 60 schools in Sheffield and the Peak District, providing hands-on experience in the classroom as part of your training.
We also work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University to provide the academic training element of the course. So you get the best of both worlds – all the support and facilities for students, but your placements are in local schools where you feel part of the teaching team.
What do you gain?
