Due to the nature of business growth in our Health, Care and Early years department this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join our work based learning team to deliver a range of Health and Social Care apprenticeships and short sector based courses.
The successful candidate will need to have a background in Clinical Health, Health & Social Care with a nursing qualification or similar health care qualification. You must be qualified and competent with experience of teaching and assessing a case- load of learners across a range of programmes including apprenticeships in health, social care and /or health care assistant; sector based short courses and be familiar with SFA /ESF documentation. A minimum three years of working within the sector would be an advantage.
The role requires you to work as part of the health, care and early year's team to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to support the learner through their educational journey and ensure timely learner achievement. You should be familiar with IQA quality processes and close monitoring and tracking of learners and audit process.
You are required to have excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with very good time management skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, you must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, have a strong work ethic and will share best practice with all members of the department. You will be required to be flexible in your approach with a ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude.
A relevant qualification in Clinical health care, preferably a level 5 Leadership and Management, a teaching qualification and TAQA / A1 and ideally V1 awards is also required for this post.
Course delivery is mainly at employer premises and occasionally on college sites around the north East. Driving license and use of a car is also essential
