We are currently looking to recruit a Trainer Assessor in Carpentry and Joinery to join our team. As a Trainer Assessor the successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality, flexible training, learning, advice and assessment to students on Work Based Learning programmes in the workplace or college sites. You will assist in the identification of potential candidates. You will be responsible for training, assessing and action planning for a caseload of candidates and be involved in the quality assurance of programmes. You will identify training needs and agree delivery plans with candidates/employers, delivering timely frameworks or standards for Joinery.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised joinery qualification at Level 3 or above, e.g. Site Carpentry ,and a vocational qualification at minimum Level 3 in Wood occupations e.g. NVQ Level 3 Wood Occupations. In addition to this the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate relevant industry experience. Knowledge of Skills Funding Agency and Awarding Body requirements for Apprenticeship frameworks or standards would be advantageous. Experience of workplace training and assessment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
The post involves working 37 hours per week and will be based at Wirral Waters Campus, Birkenhead.
