Trainer Facilitator – Engineering TF2242 

Salary: £24,494 - £27,809 per annum 

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. 

Location: Paignton, Devon 

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering specialist to join our friendly team. You will primarily provide high-quality practical teaching within the Engineering Department on Engineering courses to a range of learners. 

Reporting directly into the Curriculum Head you'll have access to well supplied, industry standard workshops and computer rooms in our new Hi-tech & Digital Centre. Key responsibilities include: 

• Delivering inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes; 
• Liaise closely with the Engineering team and colleagues to ensure the day to day practical and theoretical activities are co-ordinated appropriately for learners 
• Prepare and select learning materials to ensure an appropriate range of delivery methods to support learning. 
• Contribute to the planning and review of learning programmes and the curriculum, including the development of key resources. 
• Review and inform learning / assessment plans and targets for learners as required. 

What we are looking for in our ideal Engineering TF: 

• Relevant training and qualifications in Mechanical Engineering to at least level 3. 
• Relevant industrial experience and other relevant related professional qualifications. 
• Experience of operating Centre Lathes, Milling Machines, Surface Grinders and CNC machinery. 
• If not already held, to attain a teaching qualification within the college’s specified timescale. 
• Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent (grade C/4 GCSE).
