Training and Assessment Facilitator - Law

Level 6, £22,159 - £27,007 (up to £29,084 for exceptional performance)

37 hours x 52 weeks

Open to internal and external applicants

The Sheffield College

This vacancy is for an assessor who has knowledge and experience of working within the Legal Profession. You will have the experience and ideally qualifications which will enable you to support our Level 3 Paralegal  Apprentices and our Level 6 Chartered Legal Executive Apprentices, who study CILEX at Level 3 and Level 6. Apprentices are supported through classroom delivery of these qualifications by tutors, but the Assessor must be qualified to support these learners in the work place.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has a higher level qualification in law and/or practice.  Whilst an assessor qualification is desirable, those with strong experience of working in Legal Practice will be considered provided the successful applicant is willing to work towards the assessor qualification. You must have the ability to evidence a wide range of industry knowledge and experience.

Apprentices are supported through classroom delivery of these qualifications by tutors. The successful candidate may also be required to provide cover for law lessons as well as practical workshops for portfolio building.

You will be self-motivated and be able to work independently but be a team player. This is a great opportunity for dedicated hard working people to become a permanent member of the growing apprenticeship team but also be part of the wider Business Department.

Another important part of this role is to develop strong relationships with employers and to foster and promote the apprenticeships in order to maximise learner recruitment, retention and achievement.

The department has high expectations, standards of practice, and work ethic, associated success rates are expected to be achieved.  You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing curriculum and team development, with an accompanying desire to continue to develop your own professional practice.

We take pride in investing in our people and being led by our values. If this opportunity excites you and you fit the bill we look forward to hearing from you.

Closing Date: Midnight Sunday 20th May 2018

Shortlisting: Tuesday 22nd May 2018

Interview date: Monday 4th June 2018
